Admission to the program can be sought in two categories viz. Open Category and the Sponsored Candidates Category. Duration 24 months commencing in July 2009. Eligibility 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA in Graduation. Candidates appearing in final year exams i.e March /April 2009 are also eligible to apply. Admission & Selection Students with graduation in agriculture and allied disciplines may undertake Optical Mark Reader (OMR) test to be conducted by MANAGE, Hyderabad. All graduates, including agri-graduates can apply with MAT / ATMA scores or PAT Test to be conducted by IIPM, Bangalore during first week of April, 2009. Selection will be on the basis of past academic record, test scores, group discussion and personal interview. Reservation The Reservation for SC / ST / OBC / PWD candidates is applicable as per the Government of India rules, subject to meeting the other eligibility criteria for admission. Foreign Students Foreign students can be admitted under the open and sponsored category. They may submit GMAT or any equivalent scores. Foreign students should be well versed in English language. TOEFL scores would be accepted, as an indicator of the same. Sponsored Students In the admission process, sponsored students will be given due weightage for their experience. Students can take admission under the following five categories of sponsorship:
Fee & Expenses The institutional fee for 2 year program is Rs. 2,50,000 payable in two installments. The fee for international students and students sponsored by NRI's / PIO's is $15,000. This does not include mess charges, hostel rent & electricity charges, computer charges, expenses on books & reading material, field visits and other personal expenses. How to Apply For Prospectus and Application form, write to the Admissions Office along with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.900/- (Rs.450/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates, with relevant certificates) drawn in favour of "Indian Institute of Plantation Management", payable at Bangalore.
