To meet the future talent requirements, Institute offers a long duration course, viz., Post Graduate Diploma in Agri-Business & Plantation Management (PGD-ABPM).

To fulfill its role as a think tank and intellectual support base, institute conducts interactive brainstorming workshops and seminars on themes of importance and relevance for the plantation and associated agri-business sector.

Institute conducts Short Term Executive Programmes (STEPs) for the professional managers, owner managers and officials of Commodity Boards. These programmes are designed to provide new techniques for effective handling of managerial and operational issues.

Institute undertakes action based research with a view to field test the ideas and concepts developed at the Institute.

Through its Writers' Forum, Institute encourages the practitioners to contribute towards development of the experience based knowledge for enhancing the intellectual capital.

Institute undertakes consultancy assignments in policy, strategic, implementational and operational issues of relevance to the plantation and associated agri-business sector.

Institute participates in inter institutional programmes for exchange of scholars. In collaboration with other leading institutions it also offers facilities for the post-doctoral work.
